dATitleCleaner v0.7

A script that replaces all titles* of nearly all deviantART pages to one coherent and shortened style.

*titles, as in HTML <title> tags.


Some examples:
old: rotane on deviantART        ... new: dA: rotane
old: rotane's deviantART Gallery ... new: dA: rotane: Gallery
old: Your Journal                ... new: dA: Journal
old: deviantART: Messages        ... new: dA: Messages
old: deviantART Today            ... new: dA: Today

"old" refers the deviantART format, "new" refers to this script's changes.

I just didn't touch the dAmn pages, I'll leave that to dAmn.extend.


How to install:
- Get Firefox
- Get GreaseMonkey
- Install the script from userscripts.org [link]

2008.08.26: new in version 0.7: added Activity, Gallery Stats, Pageviews, and a deviation's favourites page.


Version conflict:
*ayembee's deviantLINK 2.50 and later versions includes a new feature that does pretty much the same thing, only he choses a "DA: something" format, while my script creates "dA: something" (mind the subtle difference). His extension also overwrites my script, so in case you use both, you can disable the new deviantLINK feature in its preferences. Or just don't use my userscript. ;]


This script has been located in my journal before, since back then there was no "Browser Scripts and Extensions" category.

Ohh that's quite cool. Much better and tidier. I think it will be useful for people that use a lot of tabs with dA pages. Going to use it, for sure. :D

Another annoyance of mine is that dA doesn't use the journal subject for the page title - any chance you could work that in?

True, that is really silly.. But I'm no expert in js unfortunately (heck, I'm not even advanced), I was lucky to get this script this far. But, I'll see what I can do :)
